Project Description
Project Description
The project was a Construction Manager/General Contractor contract to perform flood mitigation by installing 4,400 lineal feet of 48-inch RCP storm drain pipe, fish bypass, and flood diversion system at the City/County drain. Strict timelines were set to eliminate damage to low-lying properties in Billings due to spring runoff. Coffer dams were used to hold back high waters while the gate was being procured and concrete structures built by COP’s crews. With the finished product, the City is able to monitor water levels and keep the City’s water level lower than the Yellowstone River during spring runoff months.
