Project Description
Project Description
The North Branch Connection to Alpine project pump station is located near the mouth of American Fork Canyon at the North Branch Turnout to Highland and Alpine. The pipe line starts at the pump station and follows property lines to the Healey Well in Alpine City. The project included clearing 3,200 linear feet of heavily vegetated vertical terrain to install 3,146 linear feet of 24-inch TR Flex piping, connecting the new concrete cast-in-place pump station to the existing Alpine City Healy Well. COP Construction installed 108 linear feet of 20-inch TR Flex piping between the new pump station and the existing vault that required mechanical modification to upsize to 20 inches. The new system required a new concrete cast in place surge tank vault to accommodate the new 8- foot diameter 6,000-gallon surge tank and mechanical piping. The new pump station has 4 each vertical booster pumps and the system had a total of 27 valves up to 20 inches. The new pump station required installing new electrical service, Scada, HVAC, insulation, painting, stone veneer, stucco, membrane roof, and site fencing. The 24 inch pipeline included 3 each 7 feet diameter air vac vaults, 3 each 4 feet diameter sump drain vaults, full length fiber conduit, restoration and seeding.
