Project Description

Project Description

The storm improvements project consisting of 360 lineal feet of 48-inch Jack and Bore, new detention basin structures, RCP storm sewers, catch basins and detention basin grading  Due to the high lead soil conditions in the existing detention basin Murray City asked us to remediate the problem by hauling off the hazardous material.  COP was also contracted to do several utilities locates not on the plans to accommodate unknown utilities on the project.  Through COP’s relationship with Salt Lake City we were able to negotiate a reduced price and closer dump site to take the lead contaminated soils to.  Ultimately the savings to Murray City for the reduced dumping fees and the reduced trucking cost was substantial.  Initial Schedule for the project was for a 7/22 start date and a 11/31 complete date.  COP was still able to still meet the initial schedule by putting additional resources on the project.
